How to sell at Botterweg Auctions

Botterweg Auction is a Dutch online Auction House specialized in 20th Century Decorative Arts & Design. We sell ceramics, glass, furniture, author jewellery and other forms of decorative art from the Art Nouveau period to the present day.

CONSIGNMENTS

If you are interested in submitting items for the auction, we would first like to receive a few simple photos of the items with any information you have available. This allows us to determine whether the items are suitable for our auctions. We will then get in touch with you to discuss the next steps.

You can send the photos via WhatsApp to +31 (0)6 537 08 952 or via email to [email protected]. It is also possible to use WeTransfer. If you are not able to send photos, please give us a call to discuss the possibilities.

After we have received the items, you will provide you with a proof of delivery in which the items are provisionally described. Your items will be professionally photographed and described and more extensive research will be conducted if necessary. You can view the status of your entry by logging in via our website and then going to “my lots and favorites”. Here you can also see which lot numbers the objects have been given when the catalog comes online.

SELLER'S COMMISSION

Our seller's commission is 18,2% of the hammer price, with a minimum of 10 euro per lot. This includes VAT, insured storage and photo costs. No further costs will be charged and we do not charge anything if a lot remains unsold.

Additional costs will only be charged in case of transport, and in case of the assaying of gold and silver objects.

PAYMENT

After the auction and aftersales are finalised, you will receive a sales overview by e-mail. This includes all sold lots and hammer prices minus your commission. The proceeds of your consignment will be transferred to your bank account within 4 weeks after the end of the aftersales, once we have received payment from the buyer.
