Only two copies of the "Rietveld HOPMI chair" were made in 1932. The chair was rediscovered in 2008, when the heirs of professor Lanjouw from Utrecht gave their chair on loan to the Central Museum in Utrecht.
The torpedo nut was a patent of the Dutch Patent Metal Industry (HOPMI) in Utrecht.
